I saw this in the woman’s bathroom at work a few days ago and only yesterday got around to taking a photo of it. It instantly put a smile on my face.

I was curious, so I visited Operation Beautiful and loved what I saw: random acts of kindness geared toward women every where.
Editor Caitlin started Operation Beautiful as part of her blog earlier this year. She basically wanted to create a web site that shows woman about the beauty within them because she was going through the same thing a few years ago and wanted to end the “Fat Talk” in women. A lot of women go through this, and it might seem silly to some people, but a lot of women do have some ridiculous standard to live up to in today’s society. Operation Beautiful has become a phenomena that not too many know about, but I’m spreading the beauty in hopes it keeps getting passed.
It’s easy to participate. Just leave a note any where (gym locker room, on a mirror, on your table when you leave a restaurant, woman’s bathroom as pictured above etc.) and write something related to expressing someone’s beauty within. Examples: You are beautiful; you are on, wow; you are gorgeous! You can include the web site at the bottom of your note, but that’s optional. I want to start doing it.
I know it’s kind of silly to think we need a note to feel confident about ourselves. However, sometimes you’re just having a bad day and if you see a nice note that has the word “you” in it, it could be the extra push of kindness that might make you feel good because for that one second, you think it’s actually directed at you. So if it does make you feel better, what’s the harm in that? We do random acts of kindness every day, so why not this? It’s the little things that count. Spread the beauty!
